Всем привет.
Кто-нибудь может толково разъяснить,
в каких случаях следует использовать конструкцию
SELECT ... PACKAGE SIZE
и в каких применять CURSOR-ы ?

Что физически происходит в системе
и в чем отличие от простого SELECT-а?

Либо дать ссылки, где про это можно прочитать,
нигде не могу найти...

Почитайте help.sap.com.
Там и про курсоры есть Wink
Заодно почитайте правила чтения данных
